High Bracken Hall is a working farm in the South Lakes. It is the home of the Robinson family who have lived and worked here as farmers for several generations. Eileen and Stephen have created High Bracken Lodges to share their special Cumbrian farm with you.
Much of the beautiful landscape we see and admire around the Hall has evolved as a result of their farming activities over the years. The open views, lush green grass and tranquility are maintained and protected by the farm.
The walks on the farm are fantastic and can be enjoyed exclusively, as there are no public footpaths on the land. With beautiful bluebell woods, a winding river and superb sunsets, High Bracken Hall is a truly special place. Far reaching views from the Lake District hills to Morecambe Bay can be enjoyed all around the farm.

As we move from Spring into the Summer months the weather is getting dry and warm, so dry in fact that some of the fields are looking a little brown, who says it's always raining in the Lake District? The, sunny weather has made it easy for us to make our first cut of grass for silage, which the cattle will eat during the winter, but at the moment they seem very content grazing in the sunshine. One of the best times to take all this in is on a late evening stroll around the farm, it really makes us appreciate the beautiful countryside we live in.
